In this workshop, we will discuss the following tools, their use, and publicly available curriculum choices:

  • Review of free MOOCs;
  • self graded formative and summative assessments (Examview and Flubaroo);
  • AP CS Curriculum — the new test is rolling out next year;
  • Design Thinking game engines;
  • using Google Forms to gather student growth data for teacher evaluation,;
  • micro-credentials/open source badging;
  • building a CTE Program of Study;
  • Career Path Funding;
  • dual credit for CS courses;
  • ASOT-CS college path;
  • Kahoot;
  • Gooru curriculum repository;
  • Computer Science national standards.

It’s all aimed at “Teaching Smarter not Harder”.
