The Allen Distinguished Educators (ADE) program is now accepting
applications for DIY Guide grants (up to $1,000) enabling teachers to bring more hands-on, project-based, authentic learning opportunities to their students. Applicants can choose from 11 award-winning computer science, engineering, and/or entrepreneurship projects from burrito-fueled STEM explorations, to coding cultural understanding, to engineering habitats for hermit crabs, and more. DIY Guide grants provide funds for teachers to implement a project, plus additional funds for providing feedback on project adaptations and lessons-learned. The grant application ends Sept. 5 at 11:59 p.m. (PT) and is open to K-12 teachers in the U.S.
