This session is meant to provide curriculum for maker projects. All experience levels are welcome! These projects can be adapted to be used as team-building activities in any classroom, units of study in science (electricity, circuits, engineering simple machines, or computer programming), or used as the basis for a CTE or STEM elective class. The course is aligned to NGSS standards (Energy & Application of Science): PS3-2, PS3-3, PS2-3, PS2-5, ETS1-1, ETS1-2, ETS1-3, ETS1-4 Participants of this course use the Design Process to brainstorm ideas, and then build a working prototype to share with colleagues. This hands-on session uses open-source electrical components that can be integrated into classrooms or makerspaces for engaging lessons that promote 21st century STEM/STEAM skills, such as persistence, creative problem solving, risk taking, critical thinking, and teamwork.
