With the onset of Measure 98 funding, opportunities to provide CTE/Technical Ed have expanded. Starting a new program is a great deal of work and some guessing. In this session attendees will:

- 5.2 Level 2: Computer Science and Community (L2)
- 5.3.C.2 Projects-Based Courses
- Understand how to develop a idea for a budget for start-up and ongoing expenditures
- Process information to help develop an appropriate curriculum based on student interests
- Consider the process that this program went through to become the fledgling course that it is today
- Share in the current curriculum map and peruse several syllabi that leads to creating one that is applicable to their own program
- As a learner, experience the process of concept, to design, to product in at least three different modalities
- As a leader, assessing student interest and customizing curriculum to attract a variety of learners–male and female, all races
