In this workshop, we will discuss the following tools, their use, and publicly available curriculum choices:
- Review of free MOOCs;
- self graded formative and summative assessments (Examview and Flubaroo);
- AP CS Curriculum — the new test is rolling out next year;
- Design Thinking game engines;
- using Google Forms to gather student growth data for teacher evaluation,;
- micro-credentials/open source badging;
- building a CTE Program of Study;
- Career Path Funding;
- dual credit for CS courses;
- ASOT-CS college path;
- Kahoot;
- Gooru curriculum repository;
- Computer Science national standards.
It’s all aimed at “Teaching Smarter not Harder”.
