Greg Smith (smith_greg@salkeiz.k12.or.us) is a veteran FIRST(tm) Tech Challenge (FTC) and VEX Robotics Competition (VRC) coach, and a long time teacher with a passion for helping students succeed.

Currently, Greg teaches computer science, robotics and engineering courses at West Salem High School, while coaching an active VEX Robotics Competition (VRC) club of five to eight teams. In addition to competing, the Robotics Club also hosts competitions for elementary school, middle school and high school teams and they host an annual VEX Idea Factory for coaches to bring their teams to get some one-on-one help in preparing for competition.

Greg also serves as the commissioner for VEX Robotics Competitions in Oregon.
