We will showcase how SAM Labs has been used as an effective tool to integrate STEAM and coding into core subject areas. We believe in physical coding, problem solving, computational thinking and coding do not only belong in a makerspace but indeed in any classroom. we will talk about how they successfully achieved this with their students (and teachers!) and share how others can as well. Our attendees need to be curious about how to do more with STEAM and NGSS implementation, but do not need any technical background! By the end of the session, they will have a deep understanding of how and why these concepts are important, and will also have learned some basic programming principles through hands-on experience. We will provide a condensed version of one of our lesson plans as an example of classroom integration. These are all aligned to CSTA, NGSS and Common Core standards! The curriculum will be launched on a subscription basis in March on top of our free resources.
