CS for Oregon – Creating K-12 Pathways to Provide Access For All Students
CS for All is a national movement focused on creating access to computing education needed by all people to be active participants in a digital world. This session is for districts interested in creating K-12 computer science learning opportunities for all students. We’ll cover what students should know and do at each grade band. We’ll share a sample high school CS CTE Program of Study utilizing national curriculum and resources that align with all three Measure 98 focus areas to ensure sustainable funding while focusing in equity and inclusion. We will provide links to the CS for Oregon Plan and opportunities to stay connected and involved.
High School Pathways to CTE Funding of STEM Courses
Industries are struggling to fill science, technology and engineering positions and high schools are not offering enough technology courses. Free support exists and is within reach for any Oregon High School. If your high school offers a business, yearbook or Career Technical Education (CTE) course then you are ready to take the next step. This session will include practical examples, resources and a Checklist for Oregon School Districts who are interested in offering more high school technology courses. Administrators, TOSA’s, STEM/CTE leaders will find this session particularly helpful. All are welcome!
