Online Learning Tools: In this workshop we will go over a variety of productivity and organizational tools for use in the classroom. We will cover online presentation makers, educational apps to boost student productivity, online language tools, and Google apps. Bringing your own device is recommended, but not required.
Code.org: We welcome elementary school teachers and middle school teachers (new to computer science education) to sign up for this free, high-quality professional development workshop from an experienced computer science facilitator. The workshop will provide an intro to computer science, pedagogy, overview of the online curriculum, teacher dashboard, and strategies for teaching “unplugged” classroom activities. The workshop is a full day (7 hours with lunch break) and will prepare you to teach the Code Studio courses for grades K-5. Plus there are teaching materials and swag.
