Are you planning to use a set of iPads or other mobile devices in your classroom for the first time this coming school year? Or have you already made the leap and are looking for more ideas, tips, webtools, or apps?
Join this hands-on workshop and explore some practical techniques for using iPads/mobiles in a classroom setting. Topics include basic procedures, management issues, workflow options, classroom websites, LMSs (learning management systems), screencasts, digital book creation, game-based activities, student-response systems, and more. Customize the content to meet your own needs and help others in the process. Above all, walk away with some useful digital tools to start off the school year.
Bring an iPad/mobile device, a laptop, and charging cables and choose your own areas of focus: for example, setting up a website or an LMS, recording screencasts, designing daily agendas, creating formative assessments, or exploring game-based alternatives.
